Bridge Heights

I've noticed that ground highway bridges can be built very low to the ground while avenue and road bridges require slopes. Is there any way around this?

There is a mod for making bridges at ground level.  It is in the BridgeH1-b mod

It does indeed modify all bridges. Very useful mod since it takes the entire slope away sometimes if not all the time meaning the bridges are more realistic. If you do want a slight slope though you'll have to try and terraform one, with the Mayor Mode tools since it's a lot easier, for me anyway.

It also still builds a slope if you drag the height slider upwards, for me at least.
