Downloading mods from outside of Steam?

I cannot say the official site hosted by EA had any significant impact on my SC4 experience besides the update files for nightlighting etc.

 

like me ... although he was advantageous in obtaining some information about SC4 the investigation of game  bowels by the community the made it  irrelevant. (If you want to kill the longing is still in WayBack - Here )

We can't regulate what happens at other websites. However if the original creators haven't given permission, these sites shouldn't be promoted or endorsed here. At the end of the day, it's at the discretion of each author. Whether they choose to share their content outside from Steam or not, this will always be a personal decision.

 

Based on this, I think this topic has more than run its course.

In the meantime, where prominent authors can be recommended.
