To have various curves, simply install NAM32

Beside the usual included curve puzzle pieces such as 45°, small and large 90°, S curve, fraction angle curve; there are also advance method of creating them though specific "drawing" on the ground.

You can find these instructions in document\SimCity 4\NAM Auxiliary Files\Documentation under [Content] section. Some may be a little tedious to learn, so start with using puzzle piece first  :)

Correction:)

In my experience, puzzle pieces are a real killer to learn, and even than pain in the ass to use. So they are definitely advanced mode. As a beginner, I would say "drawing" method, officially draggables, are the way to go.

Super correction: main NAM development is basically doing away with puzzle pieces, so don't expect any more of them. There are more draggable Street, Road, and One Way Road components than with previous versions, and even more so, even though certain features have puzzle-based and draggable equivalents, the newest features are draggable-only. Besides, there are tutorials aplenty on how to draw each pattern, and once you get the hang of it, they'll basically become more convenient than using traditional puzzle pieces.

Will be glad when puzzle pieces are a thing of the past.  The ultra-careful handling of them is more than a minor nuisance.

Haha, maybe I'm just the backward-type still preferring puzzle pieces  Guess I'm just have problem remembering all those drawing steps.

However recently I noticed one problem with drawing street curves - the NAM will use the default street instead of the street mod you have - eg: RVT Tar Sealed Street...

I while back I asked rivit about this very same thing and he was so kind as to send me a file that fixed that issue for his TSR. He also authorized me to pass it on should someone ask for it.

He did mention he planned to incorporate it into the main mod eventually but in the meantime, if you are interested in draggable TSR curves, send me a PM. ;)

I would point out that as with any network in the game, specific textures are required for each piece, so if you have a road/street mod and pieces revert to Maxis roads, that's because the textures have either not been made or the mod isn't loading in the right place. The NAM can't magic these textures into existence, every tile you see of a network must have it's own unique texture.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

It doesn't take a lot of work to magic something like that existence; you just need the necessary textural skills, but most importantly, one small stanza of override code to make it happen. The only reason the SAMs can't override the draggable Street curves is because no one's ever written the code yet.

The issue's where to put it and who's willing to code it, and on top of that, sneaking it in with current dev plans.
