No road connection problem

Hi everybody, for some reason whenever i lay a new lot for residential zones the buildings that grow go abandoned due to no road connection even though there's a road right in front of the house/mansion/condo. Someone help!  :rage:

You are using one way roads.  Use the drawpaths command in the extra cheats dll to check out whether the traffic simulator can actually find a path to a job for those lots.

    Well the pathing seems to be in order, just wondering if you have patched your game, I seem to recall some pathing problems being fixed in the EP1 update.

     

    If you've already patched your game please can you tell me if you are using the NAM, and if so which version of it.

    Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

    Im not patched the game and yes im using the NAM, i use the last version of that, and i think this is problem is because a plugin is that possible?

    Is your copy of SC4 from a download then, if that's the case then it should be pre-patched before you downloaded it? The CD's all require this patch, but the NAM (at least the latest one, 32) requires this patch be installed before installation. It's better to be really sure that you have this patch installed before going any further. You can get by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps, find the SimCity 4.exe application, right click on this, select properties and check the details tab where the version is listed. It should be 1.1.638.0 or higher or you need to find the EP1 update an apply it.

     

    As for if the problem relates to a plugin, it's possible, the easiest way to check is to temporarily remove all your plugins (maybe except the NAM), start a new blank "test" region (don't ruin your current ones), and build a little to see if you get the same problems. If that fixes this behaviour, then someone in there is your problem. If it doesn't, the issue lies elsewhere.

    Let's not get too far afield.  If you have a legitimate downloaded game your build version should be 1,1,641 and no talk about patches applies.

     

    How long does the game run after these NJZs appear?  If you put the game in zone view, do the entry arrows point to the road?
