So I recently downloaded the Rivit coastal mod but for some reason the mod just doesn't seem to be working. I'm not sure if it's a problem with a mod conflict or dependencies. The water just shows as one dark color instead of the two that I installed into my plugins folder. I would really like to use this mod it just does not seem to be working and I have no idea why.

Can you tell me the two files that you have installed? I use this mod and it works great for me. You will need to tweak the terrain exemplar for optimal results though, and having a smooth transition from shallow water to deep water also helps. From the image it looks like the water is very deep right up to the shore, try softening along the shoreline.

I suspect your minWaterDepthForDeepSeabedTexture is set low enough that it gets applied immediately after the beach.

If you know how to edit your terrain exemplar with iLives reader I may be able to help further.

I have the inshore tropics texture and the Rippled sea (offshore) emerald texture. And sorry never attempted to edit my terrain exemplar, but maybe i could learn how? :P

Ok there is something wrong then, as the color in your image is neither of them, double check to make sure you don't have any other water mods and make extra sure you only have 1 inshore texture and one rippled sea texture. You should also pick one beach and one foreshore file for optimal results, I think.

For some water/terrain mods, you'll find it necessary to load this mod after them, simply adding a "z" to prefix the name (i.e. z_InshoreGreen.dat) will accomplish this, provided all the files are in the same place, otherwise make sure the folder for this mod loads after the others.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
