    Region Update and News Flash


    As time passes in the Region of NAM, Sims from all over have decided to call it their home, and with the collaborations of Redlotus, The7trumpets, and Tropod several new advances in transit construction have been achieved.

    The expansion continues with the new transit layout of Tropod Flats.

    With the creation of the NAM ultra strength support expansion project, highway underpasses and overpasses of all shapes have become a reality.

    Tropod NAM Services Inc. presents a conceptual picture of what is now possible.

    Some of these advancements have been use in the transit system of Tropod Flats.

    Oh, what a good thread. Want to post some NAM related pics too. I'm creating a new region now, so this is mi first experience on NAM. I have to say that from very beginnig i've had very sceptic opinion concerning NAM. I was very conservative to use it.
    But any way i had downloaded it once and now i know that NAM is really great thing to use, just look at this:

    I love seeing all theses great NAM things, I'm going to finally bite my lip and work up the courage to delete my old mods and install the NAM, I sure hope commute times don't skyrocket.

    Great pictures!  I love to see what others do with NAM.  I downloaded it a while ago and have been having a lot of fun with it in my Dimmsdale Region.  I hope you don't mind me posting these.

    Marrast: I've always wanted those double decker buses, they're so cool. Are they only availible in the British SimCity 4 or is there a mod/bat these were made in?

    Wow, I really love that Y-stack, and those double-decker buses as well... Are they any one-way road overpasses in the NAM? I could use some of those. 19.gif

    There are some nice shot to show everyone how flexible the NAM is. This CJ is a great ideal and will be looking forward to some screenshots.

    ryleeys, unfortunately bridges have been a tough nut to crack, at this time we are
    still all limited to default bridges.

    Now i know this is not really the place for this, but I can't find a better threat, and since you seam quite capable in NAM ;) I thought I'd ask it like this. My question is this, I've installed the .DAT files in my plug in, I have the update and the autopromt feature for connectons work, but I don't see the connections! and I also don't get extra menu options! What can I do to solve this?

    I hope you can help me, or someone else maybe. Any help is most welcome.

    dscampbell, do you have rush hour or deluxe? did you put the files in the c:\program files\maxis\plugins dir?

    yeah I did. They only thing I can think of is that I'm missing textures and moddels, since they do not seem to be included in the NAM_beta version, but this might be my ignorence ;) i have RH and I've put the files in the plugin, one file of each folder, 4 files total.
    So now I hope you'll be like: hey you dumb*** what about the files in the blabla directiory ;)

    Great update!  I really like the Tranist Station.  It looks like its well used.  I can barely even get my sims to use the transit system in my cities sometimes, but that's awesome.

    ok, so I don't know what I did, but I found a bigger zip and instaled tht and now the NAM works!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!! :D:D:D

    I apologize (we are all continously learning after all) I inavertantly post a few pics and attributed them to the NAM, when they are possible in game without it, I with humilty beg your pardon!


    A little update: The NAM Group has been asked to relocate to The Valley of the Dead and have agreed to help out this neighbor region.

    The Valley of the Dead is a very arid and large region (6x6 large cities), hopefully I will be posting beggining pics later today.

    The NAM is great! Thx for showing us this stuff guys. It took me a while before i realised u can press tab to change the kind of interchange. When i realised i was like [:0]

    Btw it seems to work fine with the 'no arrows one way street mod'.

    The Valley of the Dead


    Due to the impressive work in the Region of NAM, The NAM Group has been asked by a group of investors to help develop a very arid region into a booming mecca of civilization, although The NAM Group felt the investors plans were a little ambitious they agreed to sign on to the project.

    :Region Background: I downloaded this region from the MEX (Klang Valley), and it is huge, I trimmed it down to 6x6 large cities and I am terraforming as I go, I started in the east (as this area was almost what I wanted it to look like, the west will be going thru some dramatic terraforming however)

    I am using the following terrain mods:

    Desert Region Mod by Teirusu (unfortunately the download for this is offline)

    Cactus Flora Mod by johnb (good work johnb thanx)

    Muddy Water Mod by timotheus4 (this will hopefully be changed in the near future to a more reddish tint to resemble the red river in OK, Texas, thanxs timotheus4)

    Beach Mod by Teirusu (also currently offline, I am using the grass beach component)
