Problem with the Yucatan Terrain mod

I downloaded the HBS Tropical Flora Mod (God Mode) since I wanted a more tropical region when playing SC4 Deluxe.

However something has gone wrong - and all trees now appear as boxes.

Further on, feels like some mods doesn't apply their changes at all.

I downloaded the HD White Sands Beach mod and nothing has changed.

EDIT: Accidentally mentioned the wrong mod and Simcity version - corrected it. It's not Yucatan Mod, but Tropical Flora Mod!

Welcome!

First of all, I'd suggest to test with an empty plugins folder. A quick way is to rename it to something else (e.g. PluginsTest). Then create a new folder named "Plugins" and only copy in the required files. Your original plugins folder will be preserved and the game will only load the contents of the new one.

Then check you've installed the required dependency pack: The trees should be available from the God Mode menu.

Sorry I forgot to install it, easy mistake when you download 20 mods at the same time :)

I'm just starting out with modding SC4 (feels pretty late since I've played it for like a decade).

Anyway, you know the HD White Sands Beach mod? How do you ge the nice coral reef that is shown on the images on the page:

    Is it a separate mod?

Also, is it possible to stack several flora-mods to get a nice spread of different trees? Since I think the tropical flora mod is a little reptitive, I want more palms + other tress alongside those thick green trees you have in that mod.

Lastly, any tips on mods you think would suite? I want to create a tropical paradise with exotic cities.

You can only have one Tree Controller installed at a time, otherwise your game will CTD when you enter.

This mod is also available as a MMP (Mayor Mode Ploppable), so you could keep them as MMPs instead and have a tree controller to handle a larger range of trees this would be more ideal if you will use the Heblem flora less.

Bear in mind you can't just change Tree Controllers, as this can cause many problems, you must remove all trees in a region placed with the tree controller before you can safely remove it from your plugins folder.

The coral in the screenshot is almost certainly MMP coral, and there are probably quite a few useful mods from NBVC for tropical settings. You may want to check out SHK's mods and Finally here is a list of Flora MMPs you might find something your interested in amongst it all.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

Thanks. :) Will check it out, would be nice with plopping some reefs here and there.

But is there any coral mod that is pretty much automatic? Meaning there's coral reefs right before the beach starts, linked to a certain waterdepth?

I mean if there's a watermod that adjustes the color depending on the depth (like in Rivit's watermod) it should be technically possible to apply a layer of coral texture at a certain depth?

Not saying that I want to create one myself, but it should be possible, right?

Further on, the corals used in the linked mod looks more like what I described in my opinion.

It follows a certain waterdepth perfectly. Look at the "outside" of the islands on picture 1, it has a stripe of coral reefs following the beach, all at the same depth. But on the "inside" of the islands, where the water isn't as deep, there are no corals - excepth the 2 small spots (one in the middle and the other far to the left), where the water is deeper.

Just a thought that occurred to me.
