Hello Community

After many errors on my new pc that I cant fix. So I installed Sim city deluxe on my older pc cause this has a dual core and no quattro core with less ctd´s.
Never the less it works but I have a graphic problem I want to fix.

I have installed Runamucks terrain mod. But even without this mod I get strange spots everywere on the map.

A few printscreens I made..

How can I solve this?

I installed Simcity 4 on C-direction:
So my install path for this game

C:\Program Files (x86) \Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe

Short command is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\SimCity 4.exe" -CustomResolution:enabled -r1680x1050x32 -f -CPUCount:1 -intro:Off

I have updated Simcity 4 with the latest patch (6.40)
I Have updated my videocard drivers

I have changed bot sgr with notepad
Video Cards.sgr     (added my Nividea Geforce 9800 GTX+)
Graphics Rules.sgr  changed the string  (property noPartialBackingStoreCopies false)

Systems specs:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core processor 4200+ 2.20 GHZ
RAM 3 GB
64 -processor
Windows 7

Video card
Nividea Geforce 9800 GTX+

Have you tried switching between hardware and software rendering. This can be toggled in the game's graphic options, or by adding the commands:

-d:directx

Or

-d:software

It may also be worth trying -d:opengl     (sets to OpenGL mode, although this may be a bit glitchy).

Unlike the readme implies, Runamuck's Terrain Mod works in both hardware and software rendering (after testing).

    Cyclone thanks for replying

I have readed that part to from Runamuck's terrain mod does work with software rendering.

When I use software the game will crash immediately to desktop when loading the city
    -d:software

Directx Is no difference still the same screens. Landscape still has multiple colors
    -d:directx

d: opengl is snowy theme for me the hole screens is white and everything else is white to.

    Didnt work for me

    This may not work either.

Set your system to -d:directx (hardware rendering).

Now, in the control panel for your graphics card (GPU) change all settings having to do with 3D rendering to 'program selected' or words to that effect.  This is an old trick that lets the incoming program choose the options it needs.  SC4 will turn the all off for its run.  It has no effect on other programs except that they get to select the environment during load.

    A Nonny moose

Nein! That one didnt work either, the graphic problem is that zone will have different overlayers. When the Sun is coming up those colors will move up over the city maps.
I have searched the graphic rules but don't know what to change anymore so I can make it work.
And no it not the terrain mod with the default terrain I still have this issue to.

Welche, den try turning off the day/night cycle.  Press F5.  This sets the game to day only.  F6 night only.  F7 cycle.

I think it has something to do with your shadows. Try turning them completely off; they kill your FPS rate when you have them on.

No way to completely out unless you include "rendershadows = false" in Graphics_rules but will have other implications.

By the way it's time  say that this big  file Graphics Rules is totally exceeded  for those with current hardware.

He served SC4 Launch epoch to adjust the game with different graphics cards and features of different OS and amount of memory of  the equipments in that  would be installed...  Not to mention the reading memory problems in many ATI's card

For those with current hardware a few lines would suffice and could even give a brief summary of it but for obvious reasons (compatibility with all users ) could not be distributed without restrictions

    Time to think!

That's not what I'm talking about. I was saying to just go into the graphics options in-game and turn the shadows to "low," which effectively turns them off.
