    how can i prevent this? can i ad a texture face by face? if yes how? and why does it stretch that way? i cannot manage to make it repeat the same texture in smaller ones so it doesn't stretch...

    and the uvw mapping, is that equivalent to xyz guizmos?

    you can try mirroring them, just go to the map and you will see 4 checkboxes, instead of tiles click mirror and set the mirror angle and stretching. or if makes it easier for you, make a larger image with the same size of the object you are texturing.

    i think what you're missing, is that u need to click that blue and white checkered box. if this is infact your problem?

    ok i'm getting the hand with texturing and it's really exciting! the look of the building is nice, but because of some human errors (i forgot to name some parts so it's long to select) it will still be a bit longer. i know that you would all like a picture but that would be like unveiling a present before time 1.gif

    update soon! (not release, though)

    UPDATE!

    before all i want to say that i'm really happy the way it is turning, but i am UNSATISFIED about the textures. this is the best i have found, and i need something better.

    'see bigger image on next post'

    as you can see, only the front face is 'complete'.. it will change in some time when i find a perfect texture.
    i like the reflect in the windows... and the reversed conic shape in the middle will be a great subject for night lightning, let me know what you think about it. critism is a good way to learn.

    I like the way the building is turing out. It looks so much better with textures. I always have to play around with textures a lot until I get something that looks just right. Is there anything in particular that you are looking for in terms of textures? I have quite a few so maybe I could post a few if I knew what you were looking for.

    some dark stones or some dark steel, for the columns

    Although you wrote that you like the last version better, I prefer the previous one. It now looks a bit too dark for my eyes.

    Thats a great tower, a definite must for my city. Canmt wairt till the release date, I have to say I like the textures the way they were two updates ago.

    hey i need some ideas for the roof; i tried a helipad, but it's to large for my building (it will be able to stand on a 2x2 tile i think)

    i was thinking of some vent stuff, but i'm not sure.. i looked on the exchange and i think that some buildings look flat, because of the lack of details on the roof, and i am perfectionnist, and i want my building to look perfect to my eyes, and to the eyes of others.

    so please give me your ideas, it's your chance to leave your mark on my building ;)

    ok i adjusted my screen brightness (cut it half) and i noticed that the front texture was to dark. so i played with it again and here's the result

    i like the shiny look, but maybe it's to much fot the base...we'll see.

    the building is looking great with the new textures. For the roof I would go with some AC units or fans. Keep it up 1.gif

    i personally prefer the *HOLY **** i tried to save and it was written impossible to write memory... press ok to close the program* damn it...
    as i was saying, i personally prefer the 3rd one, but tell me what you like and dont like about these

    I agree with you the 3rd one is better! I think a light blue texture for your windows would look cool...

    Nice tower, Great detail, As for the window texture, I would choose the 3rd once, or try a natural blue.
