I see so many awesome mods, and i wonder: am I alone in the mod-free universe? lol, while I have no opposition to mods, I'm just curious, does anyone play mod-free?

I know plenty of people that do :) not by name, but there are people that have said that they do.

Just an uninteresting person that plays video games for your falsified amusement.

I really only play mod-free to use multi-player mode, and someone should be asking that question, but I do play without them 20% of the time for nostalgia purposes and when I'm doing challenges I set for myself. :D

I do use mods 80% of the time. :)

I have a few mods on my machine for SC 2013, but I actually don't use any big mods(Such as the extra streets and one-way roads and even the tile expander thing) simply because I don't know they would affect my machine and the game(I.e. Probably if i used the bigger cities mod, my computer would slow down a lot when playing)

I have a 2011 computer, and the mods (UDoN and Orion) don't slow down at all. It only matters if you take advantage of using the extra space. The game only gets unplayable when you have virtually millions of low-wealth agents on the screen at one time. Having cheese in a mac and cheese bowl isn't bad until you out gallons of cheese in it. Think of that relationship. :)

(I somehow got an FPS boost by reinstalling the game and using more intensive settings with 50+ mods than I did before I uninstalled the game!)

You didn't give a definitive answer to the OP's question, though. ;)

I can't even say I don't anymore. Just got Skyepack 3.1 for my other computer.

At first, when I got the game soon after offline was unleashed I didn't use any mods. I now use Skyepack 3.1 but I wish the Orion mod was easier to use. It is still impossible to make a nice sprawling metropolis unless you want it to be fully high density which doesn't usually look good. ):

I'm just NOW getting into modding the game and only if they're compatible with online play.  I'm too nervous to start messing around with files that are offline only.  Knowing me I'll forget what I have installed and I'll mess up mu installation somehow.  And I'm not looking forward to having to clean up my mess.  As it stands I just downloaded a bunch of new texture replacements, a tool to open the Global Market in game (c'mon Maxis this should have been in the release), and the Extended Worker tool.  I've yet to install them...I'm just reluctant.  I'll get over it though and I'm sure my enjoyment of the game will sky rocket.  I don't know why people flipped like rabid animals back in 2013.  Sure the simulation isn't as deep as we wanted it to be and the server thing was a nightmare, but the game is relaxing and fun to me.  The always online component was a really stupid move but as far as the game itself goes I've been having a lovely time mod free until now.
