I am requesting help,

It hapens that one city I have when opening somtimes  breaks to the desk and some times I can get into it but after closing the dialogue boxes of assitants, again it breaks to Desk, I have the Version of the city wich I was able to open with no problems in 2012 and the plugin folder of that time wich were saved as a backup file,  I reinstaled Simcity and the plugin of the region and the plugin folder of 2012, it opened but after closing the dialogue boxes, it broke to desk, then I began to suspect of the Video Card of the computer, but Am unable to check it if damaged.  I was having an Idea, to ask for help to the big players which have at least 6gigabytes of plugins to check if they can open the city and if it is mainly a problem of Video procesing.

I am some desesperated, the file damaged is the Airport. the size of the file is 8,510 kB (8.5MB)

Can somebody help me so I can email him or her A copy of the File to check if he or she can open it?

Well, more information is needed in this case.  What is in the target box of the shortcut that starts the game?  You must enable single threading to prevent frequent crashes so you must have at least added the option -cpucount:1 to your target box.

Here is a list of all command line (target box) options.

Note that all options come after the final quote of the complete pathname of the game, and each option starts with a space followed by a hyphen ( -).

I haven't done that, My procesor is a "AMD Phenom II X4 965" it is 4 core processor. If I add the shortcut to target the box 1 that you  tell me Do I have to extract the video card and connect the Screen to the Mother Board?

That doesn't make sense. You only need to open task manager by right clicking the menu bar on the bottom and set the affinity of simcity.exe to 1. I don't think this is a hardware problem.

In my computer there is the Processor  "AMD Phenom II X4 965" and the processor of the Video Card. The Video card had a noisy fan that increased its speed when playing Simcity 4. but it sudenly stoped to make any noise, I have not oppened the frame to check if it is working, but if not while I buy another video card, Should I remove it from its slot and work alone with the AMD Phenom using the -cpucount:1 code?

I think it's fine and I think it is not the video card that is at fault here. Why not try playing it without the video card?

I am going to try with that movement, in any case do you have some of the buildings of my airport and some of the plugins for the runways? Do you think that you may try to open my airport in your computer and your game?

Hmm. Sorry but as of the moment, I don't have plugins related to airports as they take so much space.  You might have deleted something from your plugins folder recently.

I have given you a software solution.  No hardware work is involved.  You simply make script changes to the start up of the program.  If you do not understand this, you should seek local help.

The problem is likely related to an airport control file, since it is an airport city that is your problem.  I presume you have a functioning airport file not supported by the airport control file you have (or don't).

Other than that information, I can't help you any more since I have yet to use any functioning airports.  Someone very familiar in that scene is who you'd need.

I think you may have a corrupted file if it won't load at all.  We need to explore your situation more thoroughly.

Please describe your computer in some detail with respect to processor(s) and memory, as well as your graphics system.  Also, if you can, a snapshot of the properties page of your shortcut that starts the game.  Also, what operating system are you running?

Well, you have a home built?  You've more skills than I in that regard.

Have you tried running full screen?  To do that you must change the -w to -f.  I run full screen all the time because I am on Linux and have multiple desktops to which I can switch, but that's another story.

My system is similar but older than yours.  If you are interested it is listed here.

If you suspect your video card, you can run dxdiag to check it all is well.

dxdiag is a multimedia diagnostic program supplied by Microsoft.  It should be on your machine if you are running windows.  I am running Linux, but it is available to me through the wine layer.

dxdiag performs a set of tests of each element of your multimedia system.  It should tell you if anything is amiss.

On windows, open a cmd dialogue and enter dxdiag<enter>
