Roads flashing/glitching

This is only happening in 1 of my cities with a pop of about 500k. The roads/avenues flash from having trees in between to like grey concrete, and it lags the game.. it happens a lot too. It doesn't happen in my other cities, and I have one with pop 1.2 million thats fine. Any ideas?

    Yeah, I shouldn't have posted it here first (or at all) sorry. Found a fix though!

    They told me to use OWR for certain stretches of my avenues. It stops the chain. There are a few articles on it now. If anyone needs to find them search "road glitch"
