Well, when it first came out I was very enthusiastic. It was a different era, those days long ago. I was very much in favour of the motion picture series until the Jar-Jar infection. We truly hope that with the miniscule appearance in volume 2 that will be the last trace of that disease.

I like swashbuckling fast-action films. I still like the old stuff with Errol Flynn, so why shouldn't I like Star Wars. I just think the franchise has gone seriously astray.

Haha, your already grown up Ski. But, seeing as they can live for ages, I guess you can still become one. 21.gif

Anyways, I must say, I'm not the biggest fan of Star Wars. Now, Star Trek, THAT is great. I'm a real Trekkie. I know practically everything about Star Trek 1.gif

Movies are great, I've read some of the shorter bokks, and the ones I haven't read, my sister has and she likes to rant about them, so I know a bit about what I haven't read, too. The video games, though, have been way too geared toward the ubergeek gaming community. That is, they're hard, to the degree that someone who isn't your extreme gamer that finds almost every game they pick up easy, you're not going to get anywhere with them. That changed with the Lego Star Wars game, though. that game is cute, fun, and not too challenging. Maybe because Lucas arts finally got the message that there are younger and/or less experienced people out there that want to play these games, too.

I love Star Wars, though strangely enough, I've never seen one to completion.

I loved star wars a whole bunch between the time of the special editions of the movies and episode one.  By episode two my enthousiasim wasn't as great, but I still like star wars alot.

The super star wars series for the snes was really good, and shadows of the empire for the n64 was good.  Some of the spaceship games were ok too.  I read the shadows of the empire book and it was good imo.  I also read alot of the young jedi knights series and a few other random star wars books too.

I think that all together star wars could have been alot better.  Even the older ones.

N_O_Body: Yep! Errol Flynn, is still unmatched, in my book. I grew up with my grandmother(now 87 yrs old), watching old movies late at night and eating ice cream. Oh what memories!

Still My favorites: James Cagney, Errol Flynn, Jimmy Stewart. I loved the gangster and swashbuckler movies, most of all.

Nothing will replace the original, Cheaper by the Dozen movie.

As for StarWars: I read the book, Splinter Of the Minds Eye. I saw the first SW movie, when it came to public Television, several years later.

Star War is seriously awesome. The acting is a bit...icky at times, but the whole spirit of the thing is still amazing!! 48.gif

EDIT: Sorry about the Apple thread. I think my undeniably civil and level-headed defense of what you said in the thread landed the thread into a little hot water when it came to certain people. 22.gif

Starwars rocks! I don't own any of the games, but I've played them and they're cool. The movies are awesome.

Star Wars is awesome!!! Episode III is great, but the space batlle in VI is awesome. I have been voted the best Star Wars Battlefront player in my town at both installments of the game by the local gaming community (rural Illinois rocks!). 9.gif

Star Wars was a great saga - It sort of wound down in the last three movies (I, II, and III), though. Still, I liked it, and I've read a couple of the books. It provides some inspiration for my sci-fi stories as well. 9.gif

You write sci-fi stories too, defcon? I thought I was the only one lol. In my opinion, I was the worst, II was the second worst, and I don't lik V as much as the others for lack of action.

Starwars is cool, but I'm not like a major fan [even though I have a Star Wars avatar]. I haven't even read any of the books or collected the toys, legos, and other items Star Wars has. I just think the first 3 movies were and are awesome.

Huge fan Since i first saw The orginal when i was 11

It realy hard to compare the 2 sets to each other, 2 different generations in both actors, effects and viewing audiance. But i enjoyed Episode 3, it wrpaed it all up very nicely.

There was NOTHING like the orginal when it came out, It was incredible saw it 10+ times at the theater, even thats changed now who goes to see a moive at the theater 10 times any more? It was in the theaters for 2 YEARS! thats never going to happen again either. It a different age now,There were no VCRs or DVD to be released in 3 months so you HAD to see it as many times as possible.
