Built an avenue on one side with my GLR running down the middle. Now how do I get it over a bridge to the other side?

Do I have to go underground. Any tips appreciated.

Thanks.

    Thanks dude. One more question

So there is a GLR bridge or I use a rail bridge?

I could be mistaken (I rarely use the GLR), but I believe if you drag an Elevated Rail network across the water, at least one of the bridges that you can choose from will be a GLR bridge.

Actually I just checked in-game and there's only a GLR-in-Road bridge (aka Tram-in-Road bridge), but none with the GLR-in-Avenue. So for Avenue bridges with GLR, you have to do what CaptCity has suggested.

Well, if you want this, put a suggestion in the NAM forum.

The attempt to make a dual-tile dual network bridge has been tried before. Whatever behavior controls network attachment to the bridge controller seems to be determined by the .exe; The single tile networks do not seem to have as much as a problem with this.

That's why in the bridge menu you may notice for roads that there is a Tram-in-Road bridge, but not a Tram-in-Avenue bridge. The TIA bridge was too difficult to get working, and IIRC, the paths kept getting screwed up.

That's interesting to know. This game is pretty mod-able but only to a certain point, obviously. They gotta put something in the EXE...

Thanks for all the input guys I really appreciate it. After considerable experimentation I went for the underground option in the end. There now follows the most boring screenshot ever.

Better than nothing.  I've had some interesting dives into and out of the underground with light rail.  Creativity usually finds a solution but without the source code for the program some things just can't happen.

In any case, I am not sure I'd want anyone fumbling around in the source from over a decade ago.  Programming styles and thought have changed a lot since then.
