Being new to mods I am trying to relearn how to do some things within the game. After installing the SPAM mod I have started a new city and that there is no demand for commercial or any other industry with exception of argirculture which has stayed peaked along with  $$ and $ residnetial demand.

My guess is that because the mod enables the agriculture to actually develop well into the age of the city. I am assuming that it is a new city the sims living there do not have any education, therfore they will not move to the higher paying commercial and high tech industry until the education level raises. I just wanted to make sure that I was on the right track and that I wasnt going to build just one massive farm on the biggest tile in th region.

thanks in advance for any insight/help or direction.

You're thinking in the right direction.  Though you should still have some demand for commercial services and dirty industry.  Maybe it will pop up once you have some residential in, and some neighbor connections.  Do make sure you don't have any conflicting demand mods.

Read the documentation that comes with the SPAM. It explains a lot of this stuff regarding what they changed with that mod.

There's a reason they call it the readme--it's screaming "Read Me!" meaning you should read it. :)

    Comp,

I do appreciate the reply, I did read and re-read the info on the SPAM. Maybe I am missing something or I just don't get it did not mean to get snotty just at a fever pitch and supremely frustrated trying to figure things out.

To clarify, SPAM doesn't affect any demands with the exception of the IA (Agriculture industry). However, if you build a region with lots of I-A this may change the course of the game in some way from using say I-D (Dirty Industry) as it's base. Without I-M and I-HT your economy will never provide much C0$$$ demand, but farms are a good part of a balanced mix throughout the region, just don't forget you need some industry too at some point. Farming is also especially helpful at the beginning of a game as it employs all your poor R$ sims without having to pollute like I-D does.
