Any biking lanes mods for SimCity 4

Welcome to ST.

Unfortunately, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything that adds functional bike lanes to any of the SC4 networks; in fact, it's a long-time impossibility known by practically all transit network modders.

The closest thing to that would be bike lanes that are separated from your main roads, or making/finding a textural mod that adds eyecandy/nonfunctional bike lanes.

Thanks. That was what I was looking for. So where do I find a textural mod for this?

The closest thing I can think of for something that looks like a bike lane is some of the networks in the Network Widening Mod (NWM)--one of the components of the NAM--that have wide enough shoulders that look like bike lanes. I believe the RD-4, AVE-6, and TLA-7 have these but that's about it. But I don't think there's any mod out there that adds any in-road bike lanes to other networks. Your Sims will just have to ride their bikes on the sidewalk. (except in the Sim-universe, bikes don't exist because Maxis never put bikes into the game)

    Welcome. :)

I saw a biking path once but I guess it is not attached to the road and is more or less just an eye candy.

Note: Thread moved to appropriate subforum.

I don't think of those to be bike lanes but instead as buffer spaces to make those two networks look bigger, because without them, the grassy strip that lies between the sidewalk and the asphalt would be too big. Dig around in the NWM dev thread and you'll find old pictures of the RD-4 that didn't have that buffer. Hence why I didn't even mention them. I even made a textural modification that, 1, removes that buffer, and 2, moves the sidewalk back to where it belongs, directly along the asphalt.

Thank you. My problem has been solved. And thank you Jmsepe for welcoming me.

To help others, could you explain how you solved your problem? Thanks! :)
