What is required to get skyscrapers in simcity 4. Sorry for asking so many questions. I am a $%&^! despite doing this for a year.

Add some parks nearby and don't use avenues or roads, use one way roads.

First you need the demand for it then you also need enough residents that can make it work. Second, you need high land value. Third, you need lots and lots of traffic which is good for business. Lastly, you need a good desirability for the commercial.

 

Also, take note in mind that wealthy residents are catalysts for this, adding more neighbor cities can also help develop skyscrapers faster.

All good words.  Skyscrapers are level 7 and 8 buildings so you need about 80,000 Sims with around 15% R$$$.  You also need heavy traffic past your building locations.

 

I don't try for them.  I get them in the normal course of the game.
