Invisible Zones

Greetings to everyone and thank you in advance,

 

I am a new user to SC4 on the Mac though i have had much experience on the PC (never got into modding or customization though). I am hoping you guys can help with an issue I am having. I recently decided to make my own new region. I know enough about the process to make a bitmap and use the RGB color format. The problem is when i go to load my region, the 4x4 blue zone appear, the 1x1 red zones appear, but the 2x2 green zones are missing and i for the like of me can't figure out why. i followed the process given to me by many search entries but it all comes down to the same thing, they won't load. any help or advice would greatly be appreciated.

Make sure you're using an appropriate shade of green.  The rules for the config file are that the red, green, and blue colors must contain the maximum level of their respective color.  In the RGB system, colors are determined by their levels of red, green, and blue.  They have a value for each of these ranging from zero to 255.  You must simply make sure the green color's "green level" is set to 255 (in Paint, or whatever image editor you used).

Yes, the green on your config.bmp is set to 0,249,0

As Indiana Joe explained, the game is very particular and accepts no less than 255 RGB.
