Suggestion for new settings on profile

Hi everyone,

I'd really appreciate it if Dirk added in more social network contact options in the Profile Menu such as instagram, facebook, twitter, steam, Xbox live, PSN, Miiverse, and most importantly, google+ (not to mention youtube). This would be very helpful in some cases as I'd like people to know my G+ instead of me putting it in my About Me page.

You can already log in using your Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Steam accounts.  A "Share" button on all content, files, and posts might be a nice addition.

 

Good luck finding anyone who uses Google+...

Yes, but people can't see those accounts on your profile, so they can't visit your page, what I'm asking is that they should be added to where the website, AIM, yahoo, etc. is.

Frankly, my friend, this is too much maintenance and exposure. 

 

Some people have accounts on far too many "social" networks and I wonder if they find any time to do anything outside of them.  Perhaps such people should occasionally go out and play in the traffic.  IMHO, let us not clutter this site up with such garbage.

I'm not really into social media, so I could care less about having social media accounts listed on my ST profile. I have a Facebook account but I never go on there (reading the FB notifications in my email is good enough for me), and I have a Google+ account because YouTube made me make one. I don't have accounts/profiles on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat or any other social media website. I don't think I'm missing out on anything...if a family friend posts something funny on FB, I'd be the last to know about it (and only because someone would actually tell me about it), but I don't really care.

This thread caused me to make a filter to delete any e-mail from twitter's come-on account from the pop server.  I no longer see any of them.  It was getting to be a daily nuisance.
