Is there a way to expand city boundaries?

I don't know if this has been asked before or not, sorry in advance if it has. Whenever I play the game I always hit the boundaries of the city and it really ruins the game and creates a lack of realism. I was wondering if there was a way to expand the boundaries somehow (like a mod of some sort). Thanks- Jimmy

If you mean in terms of modding, i doubt it, as it is something that is "Locked-In" and unchangeable except by Maxis......

This has been the main area of modding discussion since before the game came out.  Everyone is trying to find out how to do it; if someone finds a way, you'll hear about it very quickly.

It is doable xoxide released it last night, but took it down due to a dispute. He'll release it as soon as said dispute is resolved.
