But extended maps are here now That's good to know. Too bad I asked a refund already. I might wait for the official fix by maxis, or maybe just try it out later. No rush! With all due respect it wouldn't have taken much research to learn that. Even the wikipedia page for Simcity 2013 mentions that under the critical reception heading. Go around the 'net, it's city-size, city-size, city-size. I'm more surprised you didn't know it in advance. After building my computer I blindly bought simcity5, I remember a few years back I loved sim city 4 so much that I didn't even think that the new one could actually be worse. I played sim city since the very first one in black and white on my dad's mac in like 1988. Ever since I always bought the new version and it was just better and better until now I guess. I'll wait out until they fix the city size problem. Until then I'll play citiesXL

Actually as I see it here is beyond the game. I think it's a way of thinking. You like to follow the rules and accept things as they are. it's your personality. Some people in this world actually demand better, they actually try to make thing better and I'd like to think I'm part of them. Let me ask you, at your work. Do you ask for a raise once in a while or do you even expect one? Do you try to make things better or even try to improve your every day tasks?? Or you just accept everything as they are, no raises or no improvements in your every day tasks? I know it's a little bit off topic, but I think it's a matter of personality and vision on life here. If you accept and enjoy the game as it is, than fine. This topic is actually not for you. but if we whine or ask changes it's because we actually see TONS of potential to this great game and most of us in this topic actually think the game would be better this way. The fact that we would have bigger maps wouldn't change anything to your game play!- 1,284 Replies

What do you do once your city is full and productive?
tranceplante replied to Rufus Honker IV's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
ya that's the part I hate doing. HAving to start all over again. I am asking for a refund for this game. It's rediculous. Why not give both options to people? BEst of both worlds, no? -

hehe ya, I just realised that reading the forum. Is the online game different? that is a very smart idea! I couldn't play this stupid little map size so I simply asked a refund. Which I did get. I might come back later when they solve that problem. I have a top of the line computer which I built JUST TO PLAY simcity since I liked the previous versions so much. Oh well! Well, I did buy the game and asked a refund! I might buy it again when they fix that problem, until then, I might just wait and whine about it a bit!- 1,284 Replies

Is there a way to expand city boundaries?
tranceplante replied to Jimmy Buzaid's topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
Yeah, everyone is hoping for that! I just realised it's not doable. what a piece of crap. My hardware is more than capable of running it! -

bigger city size! -
I bought the game yesterday and to be honest they did a good job to bring the fun factor from sc4 into the new version. Graphics are nice and the over all feel to it is kind of what I was expecting. BUT! The city size are way way way too small! If I had known about that I wouldn't have bought it. If that's not a deal braker for you, than yes it's worth the 20$.

So I bought sim city 5 on origins yesterday and I was so happy to get it running with my new computer since I played all the sim city before to death. I played a couple of hours and my city zone is almost full. I have to expend, but it seems like the game wants me to start a new city elsewhere in the region??? What is happenning here? I really don't feel like doing the same thing over and over again. Starting the city is the boring part, the fun part is to see it grow and expend it. Anyway, is there a way to merge a few city spaces or something like that, or just make the city limits bigger? Seriously, I really don't feel like playing much more.... worst 20$ ever spent!- 1,284 Replies

I really don't care about 3D.... I really don't! Good work guys, seriously this is awesome. Where can I buy this game? If you don't have it, your best bet is to download it from the legitimate download sites. The only one I know is STEAM, but word is that it is not the best site. Google for it, find a legit site that can sell you the license, and go ahead. Prices have been as low as $5 if you wait for a sale. The advantage of the download sites is that you get a fully patched game, and can run without doing the otherwise necessary maintenance steps. eh? I was talking about that project, not sim city 4. or can I buy that project somewhere? I would be glad to buy it for 5$ I have sim city 4 already. Sorry, I misunderstood you. The thread says quite clearly that no machine loadable version of the design exists as yet. Right right.... it was just a way of giving out my support. I guess I should be more clear

If you ask me, 3D is just eye candy. I hate citiesxl because of that. I don't mind 3d, but it has to be a good game first. Anyways i would love to help out in such a project, but I doubt I could be much help. I have one suggestion. Not sure if it cane be done, but if all the mods from this site could work on that ''new'' project that would be totally awesome and I think it could spike interests. Just my 2cents Bonne chance
