I think he said he bought the game at amazon, or do I mix that up? That can be slow at times.

Are you downloading via illegal torrent sites? (Calls moderator right away... :P)

I doubt he'd be that stupid.

But anyway, if it's indeed Amazon, that can really vary wildly. I've had album downloads take two hours there. I guess patience is a virtue.

that's why I rather have the cd disk on whatever I download game wise ... always have a backup disc, you just never know what may happen

Servers on big sites can take whatever time they can get for your channel.  Quite often they are dealing with thousands of users simultaneously, so you get rationed.  This time, write the installation files out on some other off-line media.  I most certainly did with my copy from GamersGate.

From what went on before, I thought I had talked you out of doing a full reset of your machine.  Oh, well.  I guess you won't rush into that again, eh?

    Purchase Location: Amazon

    Connection Speed: 52Mbps

    File Size: 1.9GB

    Patience: None

Total Time to complete download: I slept through it lol

Yeah I won't make this mistake again... but hey at least now I know I have a complete clean slate. As before I think I actually had more than one of the game installed on my system but I might be wrong. Could have resulted in my plug-ins issue.

Okay so now I'm having another issue.

Nam 32 Download - Estimated time: 19 Hours (WTF!!!!)

It's only 240Mb how is this tme even possible. Something must be wrong with my ISP an their download speeds. Cause just about a week ago when I originally downloaded Name 32 it took a matter of seconds....

Oh bother.... (winnie the pooh reference lol)

Are you possibly running your web directly from the modem, or are you running through a router?  I've found that at times the router gets a bit chuggy during occasional networked gamesdownloading. Unpluging the router for about 10+ seconds before plugging it back in sometimes helps.

this might be far fetched, but any/all options are worth a try if things aren't running so smooth. worth a shot.

I'll try this now cause I've done tried downloading this damn thing 5 times an every time I get a network error at about 90Mb downloaded. Or it will loose connection. This is a new issues because just the other day I was downloading things lightning fast. Now I feel like I have a Dial-up connection on everything that I've tried downloading.

Edit - Done what you said. OMG it downloaded super fast like it suppose to. Took less than a minute. Much appreciated.

Watch out for routers.  They do sometimes get confused looking up their own behind and need to be bootloaded occasionally.  I connect directly to my ISP since I no longer require the router I had.  Broadband connections are really nice.  Computer systems need to be booted occasionally too.  Currently, my system has been up for  6 days,  9:30 hours.  I expect I'll have to boot it soon.

How would I bypass the router an connect directly to my ISP? Sounds to me if I even knew how to do that than the computer I'm on would be the only access to the internet in the entire house. Is that so?

Yes.  You see, I live alone.  Had a router to share with my wife before the passed away.  Hmmm!  Just lost the CBC feed from Sochi.  Back now.
