No luck with Euro city

Hello all

I've recently downloaded just about everything from Haarlemmergold's collection of lots to try and start my own European city but with no luck, none of the lots grow?

I have tried a few things to get it to work like 

* emptying my plugins folder and starting from scratch with just the lots

* enabling only the European contemporary tileset

* using a "no maxis buildings mod"

but to my avail no german/dutch buildings

anyone got some insight to this problem? thanks in advance

Do you have enough demand to grow these lots?

 

Also have you checked their growth stages? The simulator will only grow small houses and shops in small cities (don't expect to get skyscrapers, or even medium-sized buildings in a village); you will start getting mid- and later on hi-rises as your city grows bigger and reaches certain sizes. Your city must grow wide before it can grow tall. Having installed a "no maxis buildings mod" appears to cause just this, ie keep those much-needed low-growth-stage lots from growing.

yep just used a high demand mod to test this and still no growth

Stop polluting the game with demand mods and you'll get a lot further.  Be sure you have the NAM to fix up the transport network and all the various 'fix' lots that correct known problems.

 

Now, what is the build version number of your game?  If you are not up to at least version 1,1,638 you cannot use any custom content to speak of.  Deluxe loaded from CD must be patched.  The patch for 638 is on the STEX, just click on the STEX tab.

Cogeo had some good points about growth stages, and I would also check to see what building set those lots use and make sure you select the same one in the game (I'm guessing it would be the European set)
