Getting rid of snow

Hello all!  I have a desert city in which there was never snow in it.  For some reason snow started happening.  I never downloaded this modd so I believe it was buried somewhere deep in the region I downloaded.  The city turns all white for like 8 months out of the year and I can't see roads or anything.  I have tried looking to a snow/winter modd in my simcity files but cannot find anything.  Does anyone have any suggestions of what to look for or where?  Thanks!

If you had the city open on Christmas Day and its a SC4 city then it will snow its built into the game, good news it will stop on the 26th of December

Unfortunately, that is not the case.  It stays snowed over for 8 months of the years.  It never started happening until the last time I started playing

    I'm sorry can't help, does it happen in another city in the same region or just that one, and what happens if you try another region

The built-in snow will only appear on highly elevated ground, such as high mountainous terrain. Maybe it has somehow become "locked in" when it appeared on Christmas day.

Though I'm not sure why this would occur as this snow is usually only temporary. This is activated based on your PC's system clock -- the one visible on your desktop.

 

With the installed, it's possible to toggle this snow on/off. Just open the cheat box (Ctrl+X), type Snow and press Enter. If nothing happens, try toggling this a few times (saving and re-entering the city). To test in another city, check by raising the land level to the maximum.
