Does NAM replace the current Maxis highways directly or not?  I have no idea but concerned about having to demolish all my highways and interchanges I have plopped since this Project Symphony introduces several new highway interchanges to replace the old ones.

it does NOT replace the current Maxis Highway as long as you make sure when you download the NAM 31.2 (when it gives you all the options to check/uncheck in boxes), make sure you uncheck the box that says 'override Maxis Highway' or something in that  nature.

If you put a check box in it, all the Maxis Highways will turn into RHW which I hate using.

Hope that helps :)    Also just a reminder, put a check in the checkbox for the NAM options also

Project Symphony is a complete Maxis Highway override, transforming all Maxis Highways in RHW like highways. This will make all existing Maxis Highway incompatible due to dimensioning issues. You can disable this mod on installation of the NAM 31.2 by un-checking the "Maxis Highway Override". This option is by unchecked and therefore a non-standard component.

Best,

Maarten

more proof reading please.  I think you meant "unchecked by default".

Now that we have someone's attention...

Several players have asked if Project Symphony makes any difference for demands. I asked about this in SC4Ds PS thread, but didn't get any answers. It would stand to reason that PS uses Maxis highway properties, but no one told us that it is so.

Because of the scaling differences, PS really requires starting a new region.

Not inherently true. It depends on how well-developed the region already is and whether or not the user wants to retrofit the area.

True and less than true.  I tried it on an existing tile, and frankly the results were not nice.  On my next restart, which happens often enough as I get fed up with my regions, I'll probably enable PS.  Still not sure if I like the RHW-like accessories or the greatly expanded menus.

Well, I see no reason why the demand figure should change due to a network override...

This is what I thought. Some new players have popped up and things like these are not cleart to all. I had to ask to be sure myself.

Thank you for your answer.
