Unending Gift In Progress

Title explains itself. I sent a gift to another city in June or July, sometime during the Summer. (It's been at least 3 MONTHS!) I believe the amount was 50 Million. –it was sent before the new update which limits the amount to 10M– 

 

I tried abandon and reclaim the city method, also tried leaving it running for days as well. 3/4 of the city is radiated, so there isn't anything I can do except for waiting anyway. And Thanks to non-working economy system, electronics factories in the radiated area are literarily pumping simuleons.

 

Is there anyway to actually correct this? "Gift in Progress" for 3 months in real life seems bit to harsh for any standards.

After the update which supposedly have fixed the issue, the glitch is still there, plaguing my city. Anyone else with this issue?
