You mean you want an alternative to Haljackey's Building A City From Scratch series? There are a lot! Search for "simcity 4 let's play" on YouTube. But it's nice to watch Haljackey's videos because you can learn a bit of expert city-building.

Yes there a ton of them out there. Some City Journals on this site have a similar style, showing city growth from update to update (but with pictures and text, not video).

 

And I consider my video series more of a "I'll Play" .

Hmmm, ways, like as in roads? All I can say is, if you want what's in the video, just build it like he does. The great things about Hal's vids are that you can see the construction in every step and detail. If you're looking for that style roads, you'll need NAM and the newest Ontario road textures. As for anything else, we might need a few more details... Luck

The latest NAM (v31.2) can be downloaded from Mod DB here. It's a complex mod, so do have a good read of the manuals. You may want to use a custom installation, as not all features suit everyone's style of play.

To achieve similar results as from Haljackey's videos, it does take some serious practice. But when there's a will there's a way.

Above all, do not rush.  This game has a pretty stiff learning curve, and when you add the Network Addon Mod (NAM) it gets more difficult because of the wide variety of things you can do with it.

 

Play in Turtle speed and do not be impatient.
