Mary, you should keep an eye out for a refurbed desktop or laptop computer so you won't have to go to the library to post your stuff.  Save your pennies and you can get a fairly cheap refurbished machine for well under $500.  Should include keyboard, mouse and an Internet card (100T2 with an RJ45 plug for cable or phone).  A new 24" LCD 1080p monitor is under $200.

 

If you were more technical, you could get a new machine for that without software and install Ubuntu (free).  Looks almost like Windows XP, but is much more modern.  You could do this if you can find a local techy friend.  He'd have to make the boot disk for you.

I have a small notebook pc with WiFi... I will have to ask the landlord if the wifi works in the club house...

The thumbnail expands well.  That's a considerable improvement on trees, and quite a nice scene.

Actually looked good, but maybe a little stub smoothing would help some of the blending look better.  You've developed a much better eye.

I did use the stubbs for smoothing just didn't work very well for the chalk... does work well with the oil pastels I am working on a pic will post it when its finished.

My first attempt at oil pastels not bad for my first time.

Pretty good.  Because that shot was oblique, I couldn't quite figure out where your vanishing point is.  Try getting your camera looking straight down at these shots.

I was not aware that I had to have a vanishing point when doing Landscaping pictures. I know I am suppose to have a horizon. can you explain?

Better shot.  If you have live things in the picture and some are distant, it is good to have a vanishing point to get the perspective correct.  Think of how things get smaller and smaller in the distance and at some point just vanish into the scene.

Of course the exhibits will be much larger on and after the Grand Opening.   Peyton is currently wrapping up a big celebration and time to focus on new venues such as the Mayo

Hi there, Mr. Moose, its an old photo editing tool that came with acopy of Pennacle photo/video edititor Suite I bought a few yrs back. Oh, and on The M³ Art Museum Grand Opening, would love to hold the Reception Dinner at The Moose Factory!

Cool.... sounds like a plan. my next pic won't be for a bit working on a large canvas oil painting. I have decided that I don't much care for the wet on wet oil painting. I think I am going back to what I did before. I love Bob Ross's paintings but seems harder for me to do that way... going to keep trying....

I used to paint using acrylics, close to oil effects but dries waaaay faster
