hey guys, compliments of Dev, I am going to start typing out the SimTropolis Yearbook.

 

there are a few things I request from the site.

 

1. I am going to start an unofficial Yearbook comitee.

- I will need a team of editors

- I will need a chief editor

- I will need committee leader

- I will need a team of photographers

- I will need a chief photographer

- I will need a team of researchers

- I will need a chief researcher

- I will need a grammar leader

- I will need an assistant comittee leader

 

2. I also need the community here at SimTropolis to help with ideas, if you find anything out about SimTropolis, and stuff (nice things please) about the members, then post them here.

Once upon a time, in a wrold far far waay, there used to live a little piglet. this piglets name was the piglet of jacksonville.  But for arguaments sake we will call it pj. now pj was a pigg as you know, but he was skinnie for a pig. He used to ear olny vegetable, all kind of vegetable He liked the dictionary, he read it all the time, his favorite word was antidisestablishmentationaryanism.  Its not fair, he would scream whenever he would have to type the word pig. for he was only a babie, and that means he was no pig yet.

Well, I have an English degree so I am quite qualified to be the grammar editor. I am also a photographer so I could fulfill those duties as well. I don't think I would like to do both but either one would be fine. A detailed description as to what each job entails would be nice.

- I will need two editors - edit each section of the year book for mistakes.

- I will need a chief editor - controls what each editor will do, helps them, and will edit the completed (entire) year book.

- I will need committee leader - points out mistakes, ideas, etc. and organises the list of ideas.

- I will need a photographer - searches all of SimTropolis for pictures, all kinds of pictures, good ones from CJs, users, admins, etc.

- I will need at least FIVE researchers - researches the ideas contributed by SimTropolis, and also researches their own ideas.

- I will need a grammar leader - points out grammer mistakes, and suggests better grammer when reading the completed sections of the year book.

Looking at the example dev provided, I think it would be fun to provide links back to relevant threads (assuming they're not deleted, eek! ). Are we doing this on a calendar year basis or up to June this year? Are the researchers going to divide up the task by month or by topic? I think we should consider drafting some old-timers (maybe other staff too) onto this team - that will make it a lot easier!

One more thing (sorry to post so much).  Can we call this the Simtropolis Journal, instead of yearbook? Having to say you're on the yearbook committee brings back unpleasant memories of high school... Plus then the time span can be more flexible.

 

I didn't mean to set off a grammar war  - usually I'm a pretty nice editor and my authors are grateful for the helpful suggestions. Or maybe they're just afraid of me (thank you, ma'am, can I have another?).
