i downloded and instald a lot of houses and stuff so now i need an office bldg. anyone have some good ones to start out with?

Do a search on the STEX for 'NDEX'.  You will find a lot of high quality office building BATs.  Once you find a building you like you can also click on 'Other files from this memeber'.  This will lead you to other buildings you may like created by the member.  But be careful, you may end up spending hours searching and downloading content    .

Another thing you can do is get a free account on the LEX (file exchange) of sc4devotion.com, and then try the Category Search on the left after you log in.  There are a few Commercial categories.

With large suites of lots be sure you get all the dependencies, and test each one separately, so that if there is a glitch you know where to start looking.

If you miss a dependency for a model, it'll be replaced by an ugly brown box. More information on custom content can be found in the Omnibus, and various pinned forum topics.

Also for future reference, you may want to bookmark this dependency list. There are some dependencies that have been replaced by newer versions - usually called "MEGA Packs". This list has a detailed insight on previous versions (click each one), which should be removed to prevent plugin conflicts.

I don't think the programmer gag with the brown boxes is ugly.  They just liked the Sound of Music score.  "Brown paper packages tied up with string/These are a few of my favourite things".  Those things are an inside joke that says "missing model".
