A CJ problem

Usually when I put pictures in my CJ they appear as 800x600, but this time when I preview or publish it my images appear at full resolution and it is screwing up the format of my CJ. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

1. change your images to 800 x 600 if that's what you need.  A simple operation in most graphics editors.

2. make your images .jpg for speed of loading.

This version of the ST site handles images as presented.  You are responsible for their size.

Is this change new? In my CJ a week ago I didn't have to re-size and they showed up as 800x600. The format of my previous entries haven't changed even though the image sizes are above 800x600.

My CJ is in the CJ section, not the Forum CJ section. I think there might be a bit of a difference.

There shouldn't be a difference. As far as I know, all areas of the site have an "auto resize" function. This should automatically scale down large images to a set resolution. When clicking, images can be viewed in full size.

    A few ideas:

    • Check the image links have just the file extension at the end (e.g. example.com/image.jpg). I've heard some image hosts mess around with this by adding parameters at the end. The auto resize may be confused by this.
    • Check you're using the direct link to each image.
    • Make sure you're not using "HTML Mode" in your entry.
    • Try a refresh: Remove the images and save your CJ entry. Then add them back & save again.
