Looking for a tree replacer mod.

Hello everyone.

I'm looking for a tree replacer mod that replaces those elevated terrain bushes when you use god mode to place trees.

I love to keep my cities green and often use god mode to mass plant trees, its awsome for pollution as well.

Though for my cities on higher terrains I do not do this since it places those brown bushes instead and they often times get placed on the streets as well.

Its like those bushes get placed, but they show up on the tiles next to the actual spot you want them to be, meaning an empty spot next to the road will result in the road being overgrown with them, which I find super annoying and unrealistic.

So, anyone knows which mod is the best to replace those elevated tree bushes?

I dont really need all the other trees to be replaced, its just those annoying misplaced bush.

Thx.

If you don't have any terrain mod now, you could try this one or one of the several found here.  Read carefully.

I can't think of any tree mods off the top of my head that don't replace all trees, other than the PEG tree mods, which are in the list that our resident Moose has provided for you.  However I'm not sure if those remove the scrub brush.

If you don't mind a total makeover for your trees, there are a lot of options.  My mod of choice is the fully seasonal AERDEN tree controller.  Most tree mods are going to have a lot of dependencies though.  But they look nicer and don't have those bushes.

I use the PEG pine tree mod.  No dependencies.  No scrub either, unless you place it yourself using the scrub MMP.

Thanks for the help guys but I have tried both mods and its not really what I'm looking for.

All the mods I see there are changing things too much, I quite like all the standard trees except for those bushes since they often get placed inside buildings and on top of streets.

Isn't there a way I can mod those bushes myself by replacing them with another standard tree type, perhaps with SC4Tool program?

Or maybe change the elevation settings so that the bushes never appear and trees for lower terrains get placed everywhere?

If you are talking the standard Maxis decor, I suspect there is not much you can do except replace it.  The MTP series I pointed to contains at least three tree mods.  If you have tried them all, then there is only a matter of continue looking.

According to the description by the author, this plugin might be what you're looking for.  I haven't playtested it myself, though.

I believe this is another option for you if you are open to using the Appalachian Terrain mod as the god mode tree's will change depending on the height of where they are placed.  I also like the wide variety of tree's included in this controller.  I use this in addition to SimPeg4 minus the tree controller from SimPeg for more tree's.

    Hi aces!

On Mlibby's suggestion, i should point out that you don't need to use a terrain mod for my tree controller to work; it's simply optimized so the top of it lines up with the default snowline on Lowkee's terrain mod.

If you want to make your own replacement mod for the scrub brush, and you are not adverse to using the reader tool, i can walk you through the process; it only takes 5-10 minutes to do.

    Cheers

Very nice tree controlled blunder, quite amazing work.

But I like to use god mode to place trees right on the building lots themselves, all the custom made trees refuse to plant on those building lots.(small open spaces or parking lots next to the building itself for example.)

So the mod Jeffabes suggested works best for me and I'm satisfied with it.

Thanks everyone for the help, I appreciate it and this forum seems to have a really nice community, even though SC4 is such an old game, but still the best of its genre imo. :)
