The national flag. The bird is a dove, which stands for peace.
It is red, to memorialize the people who have died in wars, and casualties across the globe.

Old King1.jpg
King Edwarde I, founder of Elinora

Above is King Edwarde I, who was at first an explorer. Vincent de la Edwarde, an explorer from France, was looking for a place to settle not far from his homeland, in an attempt to have a government under his utopian ideas of peace. He was very young... *cough* lol, and a devout catholic, and visited mass every single day of his life. He was tired of the government of France, however, and it's Empireness... (Sorry jarnomiedema... 3.gif)
Anyways, he was the first king. He was the founder of the country, and landed off the coast of Islleburgh, on a landmass located near the Baltic Sea, and built a castle. Sadly, however they were extremely vulnerable to nearby enemies, so they decided to move farther away to the modern-day capital, Tillaney, located on a protected harbour. The city of Tillaney became a large trading center after years of settling. The emperor of France, Napolean I, was very very jealous of this rich new colony, so he sent his army over to conquer it. Sadly, they won. Tillaney lost power as a cultural powerhouse, and all of the sucked out culture moved to Paris.
Later, France was pushed out by Sweden, since they found the place to be much warmer than mainland Sweden. The country was under Swedish rule for about 30 years, until it was taken over by France again. Then, France granted the Duke of Elinora to make the small territory into an indepentant monarchy. The Duke of Elinora was suprisingly King Edwarde I's great-grandson. He was named King Edwarde IV.

New King2.JPG
King Edwarde IV

King Edwarde IV was very young when he became the king, only 36. He was trained in the military to fight for France, but after witnessing gruesome events, he turned to religion to help him. He followed his father's utopian vision to create a fair government based on religion.

Lady Priscilla.bmp
Lady Priscilla's famous portrait

Lady Priscilla was King Edwarde IV's gorgeous wife, and she charmed the entire nation with her seductive personality. She was pretty much the Marilyn Monroe of Elinora... (Except the magazine pictures... 3.gif)

King Edwarde IV ruled until his death, leaving his wife behind. She eventually died behind him.

After a decade, came the 1900's. Elinora was a booming area for trade, specifically the city of Tillaney. Tillaney was bustling with horse carriages, trains, ships, boats, and more. The gig was going great, especially when King Edwarde V visted America. He went over during the 20's , completely amazed by their development. When he came back, he completely revolutionized the city into a more modernized city. He added more parks, fixed public utilities, and etc. However his hard work was in danger when the country heard news of Nazi Germany, rising with power to conquer almost all of europe. The city was bombed, bombarded, and slaughtered by the Nazis, the hardest hit area being the Jewish Quarter. Luckily, after all of the death and destruction, the country arose again, being rebuilt with just as much beauty as before, but more.
By the 60's and 70's the country became a democracy, and monarchy was over. However, King Edwarde VII was gladly made the first president. Also, western pop culture sweeped the nation. Children were dancing to disco music, Youth were wearing their bellbottoms through town, and adults were hanging at the roller disco. It was a very psychadellic period.23.gif lol However, in the 80's, this fad completely wiped out, and was tooken over by sophistication, modernism, and business. The country became very sophisticated, and at the same time, religious and peaceful. The 90's came, and the threat of communism completely dissapeared from the worrying minds of parents. Technology such as internet became extremely popular, and then that was the birth of..... The Internet Geek! 39.gif39.gif

And below, I just decided to add a teaser picture 3.gif

I just love the old architectural styles of the buildings in Tillaney.

By the way, where did you get the tower-like monument located at the center of the city?

    PantherSim,

I love the european style with the W2W buildings.  I think you've captured something, however, that gets lost in people's presentations of the densely packed buildings... and that's open plazas and other open spaces that really bring out the cathedral and other important structures... they're not just packed in between the other buildings, but they stand out.  I like it!

    Keep up the good work!!

praiodan: Thanks! I like using real life pictures in CJ's... it's fun to manipulate the people with horrible geography 3.gif
jglei701: Thank you for the comment, and I'm glad you enjoy how I design my european cities!
Kwakelaar: Heh, it was a strange glitch. I want this CJ to follow Lenida, but not THAT much...19.gif
dimostenis: Later on I will post more pictures of Lanfuhre. I tried to make that city look a little more like Arles, France...
toxicpiano: Thank you for the comment! 1.gif
wallasey: Thanks... I tried to make the city realistic in the old town.
Fabiocb: Thanks... I never really though MY cj would be inspiring... 5.gif
Mr Piggy: I also love Oppie's Colluseum. BTW, the castle is from Simcity.com, in the cool stuff section, downloads, and landmarks & props. It's the castle ramparts, and the buldings included can be used in lot editor.

The Tillaney Environment Project is a city-wide project to add more flora, less garbage, and restore many of the historic buildings. Below are a few pictures of the progress so far.
