Great Works Not working for Region

Has anyone else been having problems with the solar farm not showing up for rest of region?

Lots of people have been having issues with works not showing up at all, not syncing resources/workers, not working when built, etc. Maxis are 'looking at the problem'...

Yes I had this on my region last night. Ended up abandoning it, which was very frustrating! Didn't see the point of continuing though as the main goal was to build the 16 city region with 4 great works as my ultimate save game, but if it didn't work when I moved to the second city, then there was no point continuing. Sad times.

Hi, Reven. I haven't heard about this. So in this scenario, other players see the great work as though they could start one (because they cannot see the started Solar Plant)?

I had this exact issue in a private region I had a couple if cities on the go and built the solar farm to get rid of the power requirements of the cities I had built.

It built fine but when I started my next city it was gone. After an hour or so of playing the new city it reappeared at phase one of construction with minimal resources (which I think was the last save server side) after a while it started building on its own with no further resources needed and eventually all was ok.

I think this is a syncing issue much like the other region related problems so I don't know of anyway to fix it on your end. Unfortunately I think we will have to put up with it until such time as it is patched properly.
