Maxis Berlin map

Wanted to play the Maxis Berlin map but someone at Maxis had better ideas and set the map to hard and started 3 cities.

 

Is there a way to reset the region without wiping out the terrain? Or a way to reset the difficulty level would be ok too.

Yep, go in to each city and use the 'delete city' button in the God Mode menu.

Obliterate each of the started tiles... that way, you erase "human development" but you keep the original map

I did that but it leveled the terrain, no more rivers or anything just flat tiles. Then I tried to start region over again and it would not load.

 

 

But I just looked and found a Berlin map by Drunkapple that may work, don't know for sure yet still have to render it.

It should not level the terrain if you use the button while actually inside the city.  Don't use the one from the Region View.

 

You can get the original region back to try again by either using the Windows Recovery options to roll back the region folder, or by re-installing the game.

Ah ok I messed up I'll try again this time inside the city. I backed up the whole folder onto dvd so I have a backup I can copy off pretty quickly.
