Large City Region Glitch

I just installed Simcity 4 on my year-old PC last week and I am getting a problem with a strip on the south end of the large cities in the Region map that doesn't line up. This is not a Terraformer problem as it does the same with the built in large cities in Region. Is this a new glitch or one that has been known?

First I thought you had black pixels in your config.bmp - but the city borders in the first pic are all lining up ...

Does it happen with - ingame - newly created regions too? Or only with manually made config.bmp and greyscale maps?

When does it happen? You already built a city, only after the first save?

It happened when I used the Terraformer program, so I thought it was with that, but then I tried it with one of the supplied regions (Berlin) and it did it there, too. It seems to happen after launching the city, because I didn't notice it until I did that with the large Berlin city. It's the south border of large cities only in which this is happening.

I've had this problem since I installed SC4 on my computer 2 years ago. I think it's a problem with new graphic cards

Do you have SC4 Deluxe or Vanilla?  Maybe it's an issue with a Mod you downloaded that is meant for a version of SC4 you don't have.  Also, make sure you have the graphics settings in the options menu correctly set for  you new computer.  One last question, are there any issues when you load the cities from the region?

You probably have a vertical screen resolution larger than 1080 pixels. That makes the region view glitch out. It's only a cosmetic problem, though.

Good grief.  All this palaver.  It's a known problem if you render a map with a vertical resolution of 1200 px or greater.  It is harmless if annoying.  The fix is to never render a map at a vertical resolution greater than 1199 px.  Alternatively, you can set your resolution down, and open then save each tile.

Thank you, A Nonny Moose, that did the trick for me. Now I know how to fix it when I need to.
