Tax Rates per Wealth Level

Does anyone know the maximum tax rates per wealth level?

  • At what tax rate does the happiness for each wealth level start dropping?
  • At what tax rate does the happiness for each wealth level start increasing?

I read the blog post today about tax rates and they have me wondering about the limits.  I usually just set my residential, retail, and industrial rates for 11/9/8 and that works for me, but It would be nice to know the min/max for them so I can get the most out of my citizens without causing them to move out. :)

The invention of beer and the wheel were the foundation of modern civilization & together were the catalyst that split humanity into two distinct subgroups: liberals & conservatives. Some men spent their days tracking & killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. These men were called "conservatives". Other men who were weaker & less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's & doing the sewing, fetching & hair dressing. They were called "progressives".

I dont know any stats but I like to sety mine up at 7, 8, 9 % respectively.

Sometimes I bump either R, C, or I specifically but it depends on the city.

I put low wealth on 11 or 12%. Medium, 10 to 11%. High, 9 to 10%. I raise them high as I could then lower them when they start complaining about high taxes/rent.

11% down and across. I try to rush an electronics industry into development, then eliminate taxes across the board as I reap the profits.

As long as the yellow bar is very low compared to the green one (residential overlay), I lower taxes a bit.
