DLC...What is worth it?

When I purchased the Limited Edition on amazon, I didn't pay more than $30.00. Now that the game is becoming playable more consistently, I was considering adding some DLC.

I did have a question for anyone who as the extra packs, are they worth it? Right now I have the Heroes and Criminals (or whatever it is called) that came with it but as far as I can tell it just adds Maxis Man and Dr. Vu options which I have never even used.

Are any of the other DLC packs worth the price?

Not much DLC out there yet, just the european city packs, which dont sound worth it to me.  My bet is they will become cheaper eventually, $5 for all 3 is about the most I would pay since they really add little functionality.  I am very much looking forward to future DLC, maps, transport options, etc... hopefully they will be reasonably priced.

To answer your question: No.

I regret buying the Digital Deluxe version of the game.

Can you post some feedback on the double-decker bus or the high-speed rail station?

I bought the French pack just out of curiosity and it doesn't do much. You can add a French police station which is basically the same as the regular police station except it looks a little differently. You cannot get French architecture throughout your city unless you plop the Eiffel Tower. And with the small size of maps I'm not willing to plop anything that large that doesn't have a huge impact on my city. I'd say NO, don't get them. Like CaribbeanSail said, the price will probably come down on them soon.

The double-decker bus station is pretty big footprint wise. The buses are garish union flag designs. The buses hold more sims, but suffer from the usual bus pathfinding comedy, meaning they all bunch together and block the streets.

The German High Speed Rail seems identical to the normal station, but I think it may have a larger capacity.

French Police Station looks okay, and the cars seem to move faster.

More pointless is the Heroes and Villains thingy (is that DLC?) where I have to pay a batman character to cruise about and not do much. The best use for this I've found is to follow him, zoomed in, and use him as a street level tour around the city. The place looks quite big if you do that.
