I have good news to fantozzi and others who had their cities abdomned. People are starting to come back to my city now, I have almost 10,000 of them back already. I queried one of my sims, Lars Overdale, and he said (i qoute)

"Mayor, am I glad to be back in my old city. The other city i was visiting yesterday looked nice at first glance, but suddenly there was this thick fog covering everything. It felt like sitting in a cloud. I hope I never have to go there again."

This is good news, guess they'll all come back eventually.

So is this an actual mod or have we all been duped?

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Lighten up FFS.

The effort alone for this to be made is worthy of it.

C'mon, didn't you even get the sense that it's too good to be true? We, the Simtropolis Staff thought it was a pretty good gag. I mean, we need something to follow up with our last year's April Fools prank, the Master Dependency Package, also too good to be true.

For those who have notice, here where some other clues that you could spot that this was just a prank:

- When it first came online, 12:00PM GMT+9, You could've noticed that I was not online at the time. In fact, I was last online 6 hours in advance and I was welll asleep at the time.

- For those who know me,they know I can't really program. Also, I have a broken arm right now. How am I supposed to get this ready this quickly anyway? And is one month after the release a bit too early for such a tool?

- Did no-one notice that I don't even have an Origin ID? That's because I don't even have the game!

- Did no one notice that in one of the images the texts on the other buildings were mirrored?

- Did no one notice that the BAT models displayed where BATs were all from the same person?

- The word "day" was intentionally written in italics, since it referred to the publication date, April 1st. And you know what that means...

- The file version was v0.42. What a coincidence! 42 is the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything.

- If you look at the credits, you see some wrong-spelled names of some members, like Tarkuz (Tarkus), Ophee (Oppie) and of course, RippleTurbine from SC4inmotion.com (RippleJet from SC4devotion.com)

- People who know the model architecture of both games know that such a conversion program is impossible. SC4 models are largely projected images with fixed viewpoints, while SC2013 uses true 3D models. It's a totally different ballgame...

I'd like to thank all of the Simtropolis Staff for this genius gag. I'd like to thank for the brilliant idea, excellent photoshopping and last-minute programming to make it all look legit and all non-staff members that hooked into the joke playing along. Thank you for this classic prank, it was fun while it lasted ;)

TL;DR: Yes, this was just a well-planned April Fools joke

Best,

MandelSoft
