Idea for future Simcity games: Play AS the monster

I have a brilliant idea for the giant monster in any future disaster modes in future Simcity games. Usually, they make the monster move by itself. But I have an idea. What if you activate the giant monster, you can actually play as him. You know, control him, make him jump, stomp, punch, breathe fire, fight the army, pick up and throw cars and more. Take a look at the Godzilla games for example. Like this footage for example:

If they could replicate things like that you can roam freely in your city playing as a giant monster, how cool do you think that would be? What do you think?

Jesus.... No wonder SimCity is so poor now. They have to cater for a market that wants a terrible monster rpg within it.

I think it's a terrible idea.

There is a game of this already. It's called "Rampage".

Or if when you spawn the lizards as a disaster you can click and control its direction.

I'm sure that's was available with the giant robot attack in SC4.

Otherwise the full control is a bit excessive and there are probably more pressing issues than mini games... although on the other hand Maxis are know foe their easter eggs and sillyness.

Sounds awesome! A controllable godzilla! Now that would be a true SC4 godlike disaster!

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Speaking of Easter Eggs, since today is Easter where I am, does anyone know of any for this game yet?

Back in the day, I used to have a game called Movie Monsters.

Rather trivial, but nonetheless a novel idea.

A bit late, but here you go:

  • A llama can be seen in the tornado if you look closely.
  • When viewing the details of certain medium-wealth commercial buildings, music from the original version of "The Sims" can sometimes be heard.
  • One building in the tutorial has the emblem from Spore.
