Rollbacks

I just had another rollback issue.  My city stopped processing and said that it needed to roll back.  Now I can't access it.  This is the second region that I can't access.  It's frustrating to put all that time into a city only to have it take a crap on you.

Is EA still taking claims on this?  I saw somewhere that they were asking for people to provide their Origin usernames so they could fix this issue.

I'm back to square one.  I have two regions that I can no longer play.  Each one has cities with over 100K population.  I don't feel like starting over......again.

There's a bunch of threads on the tech forums -- they've been up for two weeks now. Take your pick:

Rollbacks

Processing

Unable to load

I've abandoned two regions due to rollbacks. Have been lucky with my third region thus far.

I just tried logging in to the EA forum to post my info and I got a message that said "service currently unavailable."  That's just awesome.  lol

Yeah lost 2 cities today like that. One of them, kicked me twice for rollback because it wasn't processing correctly. :/

    See tomorrow.

To update on this.  I have a second city in the region that I am having this processing issue with.  My first city says that it is processing and to come back later when you go to the region view.  Well now, my first city has disappeared.  While in the second city if you look out to the horizon where my first city was (right next door) there is nothing there but undeveloped land.  But, I keep getting messages that my first city is sending resources over to my new city (fire trucks, police cars, etc.)  So, my 1st city is there, but you can't access it, and you can't see it.  This game is broke.  Is EA ever going to fix this?  Every city that I have made so far has been lost to this issue.

The fact is that there is no answer of  why the RollBack operation present  any problems as it theoretically should only provide a safe copy of your previous game.

Well .... according to forum "EA answer HQ"  this matter has been Solved.

Unless they fixed it while I was sleeping last night the issue still remains.

I will try that.  I'm just wondering if it will make my disappeared city reappear and be playable or if it will only work on new cities that I start.

If this temp fix doesn't work on existing cities, then I will have 2 regions that are basically unplayable.

I was having these problems but have since found a way that seems to be working (I haven't had a role back for a few weeks now).

When you are closing down, DO NOT quit from the in-game menu.  Instead, go to the main menu and select quit game from there. Once you have clicked that, click quit and you'll get a message saying that some data has not synced and currently syncing.  If you just let that do its thing, the game will close of its own accord.  There is a quit button on the syncing message screen BUT DO NOT use it otherwise the game doesnt sync.  Since I started usign this method, I have managed to play for two weeks with no rollback issue.

For a city that was continuously rolling back after about 5mins, I found that if you load the city up, and then before it starts rolling back, use the method I just described above to quit the game.  Since I did that, my city that rolled back every 5 mins has been fine for over a week now.

    Hope this helps
