I'm loving it! It looks even more realistic than the photo, if you don't consider that the sky is towards the ground! 18.gif Great work!

Thank you Robledo 4.gif  Here are some more renders of it (I'm loving even more 3ds max 3.gif) , now the sky is in the right place 9.gif...  I'm not sure about doing the triangular things at the base of it, what do you think??? (you can check them out at the bottom of the 2nd page of this thread) 42.gif  Also, I'm having some trouble rendering buildings with night-lights using 3dsmax...

You can get the trial version @  http://www.discreet.com , I got mine through college.. You can get lots of amazing programs at really low prices if you buy them using your student ID...    now I prefer it over gmax, render times are nothing compared to the other...   3.gif   but having some problems with night-lights...    still, glad you've liked it so far... I'm working right now on the central part of the base....  1.gif

Seeing that 3dsmax costs 3,495.00 (USD) at the moment... I don't think I will be getting it... So I'll continue with gmax... I'm still amazed it was completely FREE.

Anyway, the base is looking great... But you could also try importing the grass texture that LE uses. Just a suggestion...

I was just looking at the pics  have for this building, I was thinking, maybe you should make them a little whiter? But they look fantastic. Also, the pictures are very decieving in the actual height of the building, they look huge in the pics, but after seeing you recreate them, they look fairly small. Maybe you could do another version after these, like a bigger one ?

Also do you intend on doing the whole complex?

Hey Fox!! I used a pic from the building stone (actually hammered marble) a friend who works there took it right off of it... so the color is right... 44.gif  I can make another version which is whiter if you want me to do so 9.gif

Also, in the pics it seems taller because it's the only high-rise building around there so you can't compare it with another building...   the nearest one could be Torre Altus, but still too far away and in a slope, so pics won't really show the real height comparison of both 39.gif(Torre Arcos is kindof dug into a slope, and Torre Altus is built on a slope).  The measures I used were based on the # of floors and etc...   What I can do about height is adjust it to the perspective sim city uses, so it will look taller....  1.gif  I just have to find the post where I read about it... 42.gif  Prove me wrong, but I guess it was around 150% on the Z axis right??

Oh! and the surrounding smaller buildings of the complex aren't really in my plans to be batted 34.gif

Ok, I've added some more floors to it (16)41.gif.  I guess this will make it taller and less boxy on the overall9.gif....   Here are some in-game pics with the smaller one for comparison.. and also a render....  let me know what you think....42.gif

In my opinion I think you should release both, with the base. While I'm not a big fan of the building in real life, I can see you've been doing an excellent recreation! 19.gif.
BTW, since you live fairly close to it... do you know what's the status of the whole complex? On hold? Never built? Cancelled? I've wanted to know why they haven't built the second tower yet...

Hey Robledo!! As far as I know21.gif, the second tower is on hold until further notice...  the hole in the ground is already done haha, but there's no people or machinery working on it... so I guess they're waiting for enough demand to begin its construction... 41.gif

Hey all... The modelling and texturing are already done.... the only problem is night-lighting... Not really sure why, but I get an error when rendering with night-lights in 3ds....   26.gif

Hey masher!! nice to see you've liked it...     About doing the whole complex ummmm 42.gif  I'd have to think about it... I'm not sure about which details you mean, but the pic from Fox post is a drawing... the actual photos don't show much more detail... There are more pics @  http://www.emporis.com/en/il/pc/?id=113632&aid=8      Let me know any improvement which can be made 1.gif

The building base includes a hole right under the center of the building (where the glass thing is), but I do not know how to make holes in SC433.gif

Also, in real life, the side of the building is the entrance to the underground parking lot; and the back of the base is a plain wall with a small garden on the right of it....  not sure what to do about it... any suggestions???
