terrain mod bug

So recently i bought simcity4 again (my disk broke after all those years of service and i had bought a new pc) after seeing what a debacle simcity2013 turned out to be.

 

I installed all my plugins from scratch and downloaded my old favorite terrain mod: cpt_italia

At first things looked good after i created a new region and painted the whole thing with trees in god mode things where good.

However upon making the first city in mayor mode i encountered a problem:

as you can see the ground in hometown changed coulour/texture. This happened in mayor mode.

I have tried and debug this thing but i can not find any conflicting plugins. Also i made sure only to have 1 terrain mod installed.

anybody care to weigh in and try to help me fix this.

i saw an increase in the texture with the white dots not sure if this helps you

This is not a bug. A few of CP's terrain mods are 'seasonal' in the sense that the texture changes slightly from greenish to more brownish. Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out exactly when the change takes place because it doesn't seem to correspond with the game months.

It is weird because in the past it always stayed the same color.

And I am sure that cpt_italia which i downloaded isn't seasonal....

Simcough is right, it's not a bug. It is either seasonal or it's only a matter of elevation. I'm using CPT Olympic terrain and have seen this kind a color whenever i go to the region view.

 

Btw, that's a nice region you got there.
