Why do my graphics look so terrible?

The trailers and previews don't look anything like this? Or is this normal? If not, can anyone explain to me how to fix this?

Is the 6320 a notebook GPU? I had similar results with an older pair of Radeon 4870x2 in Crossfire, and I was none too impressed either.

 

I upgraded to a 7970 and it was night and day.

 

In any case, it seems like to get the beautiful screenshots you're seeing everywhere, you need at least a 7xxx series AMD or at least a GTX 480+ is my guess.

 

Maybe people can post their great looking screenshots here along with their video card specs and in-game settings so we can all see what's needed to run at what quality.

Your CPU is not the one of the most powerful, so I think that's the reason. It ranks lower on cpubenchmark.net than the minimum CPU from the system requirements on the EA website (Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+). I can imagine the Glassbox engine needs quite some resources...

I have a Radeon HD 6450A...CPU is Intel Core i7 2600S @ 2.60 GHz. I am contemplating on whether to get this or not....because of the graphics. What do you think it will look like with this specs?

Boo! The game was navigating so smoothly but the graphics sucked!

 

I've just upgrade to Intel i7-3612QM CPU @2.10GHz  Hopefully that does the trick!! Unfortunatly, their is something odd going on with the wireless connection to the new laptop! Shooot, I just wanna play SC lol

Your GPU hardly even meets the minimum requirements.  Your processor is pretty weak as well.

Hello everyone! I have a question to those of you who are good with PC specs   I am worried that my laptop won't be able to run SimCity. What do you think?

Here are the specs:

 

 

CPU: Intel Core i7 1.73GHz
4 GB RAM

Video Card: GT 435M (It used to run Battlefield 3 on low at 30-35 FPS)

Hey, here's the thing: the game has issues automatically setting your graphics settings. You can probably handle quite a bit more than it thinks you can, just manually go into settings and change it.

GeForce GTX 580 (4 GB RAM)
 
Settings were completly maxed out and I used the GeForce to force such things as FXAA, though I'm not sure it actually made a difference.
