"Now Entering City Name - Population 9999" Plopable

Beat me up if this is in the wrong location I am still "green"   For those mod and bat guru's out there,, is there a way to create a ploppable or some sort of 'mod' that uses the query method and displays the city current population,

 

I am thinking of the query method like we see in the info popups when we click on a house or building?

 

Would be nice if a sort of "highway sigh" or other type of marker could be hovered and display a message similar to the example below, like when you are entering a city limit the hovered  message will announce the city name and current population.

This is a great idea, I made a sign and tested it shortly in game yesterday. It's easy to do a custom query with city name, mayors name and population. However, the hovered query message population is only updated once a month or so, if you have a fast growing city it shows last weeks population numbers. But that's probably how it would work in real life so it's ok with me.

YOU are the BEST'est!  that's exactly what I was envisioning, a sign that does just what you've developed!   It would be nice if the game did do an auto update of population but the monthly will do just fine!  Besides , in reality , I don't think they send someone out to all the highways and byways to plop that new baby that was born over night, so the monthly count is EXCELLENTE! (extra e for emphasis!)

 

I like that third option, even though the Hollywood type would be a good alternate choices?  Man thanks!  Can you keep me posted? Do you have a discussion link that I can go and follow?
