SimCity has stopped working

I'm using Windows 7 running on Boot Camp on the MacBook Pro Retina.

 

After completing installation, somehow SimCity isn't able to launch and it says it had "stopped working".

 

Does anyone knows why this is happening?

Mine says  "SimCity has stopped working - Close Program" before it even loads...

 

What i tried so far:

• updated video drivers to Nvidia 18 feb 2013 release
• disabled second monitor
• rebooted
• Windows Updates are all installed
• Speedtest.net to be sure my internet was fine

I'm having the same issue.  I get to the tutorial, which tries to load and then the Windows message, SimCity has stopped working, closing program, etc.  All video drivers are up to date, I'm also running the program as Administrator.

I am having this issue as well, I play for 5-10 minutes and bam! SimCity has stopped working.

 

I have the latest Nvidia drivers (314.07)

I tried rebooting

I tried disabling SLI

I tried disabling my second monitor

 

Nothing seems to work - My city also does not save.. I have tried playing about 20 times now and every time it crashes, and I try to resume my game there is nothing saved

Ive been playing fine in the pass, making multiple cities, and they work fine. But, just today when i try to play I made a few new cities and about 10 minutes into each of them my game crashes and windows popup says SimCity has stopped working.. cant figure it out.

I think the number of people on the SimCity servers is so huge that not everyone who bought can play.  I played for a few minutes and crashed too. No I get a message saying all servers are full.  This always on line is BS

Still having the same issues this morning and there are no new patches.  Servers are listed as available (not busy).  I cannot get past the tutorial loading screen (herding llamas) before it quits working.

I never get any messages after the first crash.  After that the game just never starts

With a fresh install from the DVD the launcher starts, checks for updates and then installs the update, asks for a Restart and then keeps crashing before the launcher. i'm still waiting for a patch...

Supposedly the North American East 2 server has been patched.  Game still stops working on Tutorial Load even if that's accurate.  Time to leave this alone for several days.

Update.  I uninstalled SimCity then reinstalled with new patch.  Waited for the latest round of hot fixes to the servers and have finally been able to get into the game.  There are still some server issues, but it is working, which is what most folks want.
