Regional Team - Discovery Delta (16 Plots)

 

Hello Everyone,

 

I would like to make a team of 7-12 people on the Discovery Delta map. I already have two people willing to participate. If you want to join me just reply me with the plot(s) you want. You may claim up to 2 plots. The goal of this group is too create a very powerful and competitive region and even hopefully end up on the leaderboards. You should aim to fulfill the goal and everyone should help each other but If one starts to create big problems he will be kicked out but that is highly unlikely because we'll all help each other too solve our problems and keep us going. Inactivity will also lead to being kicked from the group but I will not act without a vote of the group. So come one join us and let's make the most epic delta ever!

I'm not 100% positive you can kick people out of the region. As the creator of the region, you might be able to, MAYBE, but Maxis has stated several times that in order to lose control of a city, you must explicitly choose to abandon it... so I'd be careful.

You definitely cannot kick a player out of the region. Only the player can abandon his City.

Wow awesome to see al these replies so quicky and I was thinking it was a bit to late to post for a 16 plot region! Look froward to playing with you all!

I think we should aim to each specialise in a different field and help each other out. In this way each of us could reach high ranks in different parts of the leaderboards. If you have 2 plots you can chose to specialise in 2 different areas because the leaderboards are classed by town.

The only solution I can think of I disconnecting the transport links to the said player's city if that is possible I hope. But I guess we will have to wait to see what can be possible.

 

Oh and it seems I wont have the game till the weekend. Since they releasing it late in Asia.

My town (spooner plains) has conflicting reports of resources.  IGN says lots of coal, a little oil.  SimCity Wiki says lots of oil, a little coal.  So i'll be specializing in Mining or Drilling...   whichever I have more of.

What if I have no money?

 So does anyone have a picture of where the plots are located? If I remember correctly, some services can only be traded with adjacent plots correct? I'll start planning as soon as I know what my plot looks like. 

 

Since I know my Ravine is by the water I'll put it down right now that I can take care of the water supply for my little area. People more inland don't need to worry about constantly replacing their pumping stations. I guess I should probably go department of sanitation first.....

If you have no money, then Crimeville's crime is probably the least of your concerns.

HOWEVER, you do get paid for missions your vehicles complete in neighboring towns, so if Crimeville is ridiculously bad, your extra police force could probably very easily pay for itself if they're regularly and quickly headed to Crimeville, picking up criminals, and returning. You'll need extra jail cells though.

Alternatively, you could probably be okay just not caring about Crimeville and make sure you have extra police around any entrances to your city.

The only problem a bad neighbor can give you that is difficult (if not impossible) to do anything about is air pollution.

Anyway now let's do the planning part of this Region. I'll first make a Oil Empire on Magnolia Wetlands and then I'll make a Educational city in Cottonwood Forest. What about you guys?

I suggest the North America East 1 Server. Others are busier so far..

 

Not sure how servers relate to a multi-player game with this game..
