I tried updating graphics driver, no avail. Tried updating DirectX, no avail. There's no problem with Software mode. However, I have a mod that requires the game to be run in Hardware mod and this issues are driving me crazy! Any suggestions??

Here are my specs:

Intel Core i3 2310m 2.10GHz

Windows 7 64-bit

Intel HD Graphics 3000

4GB RAM

x(x-10)=7[sin(666x]

The Network Addon Mod for SC13 is now out! Download here.

Of some interest here, AMD no longer supports my integrated graphics chip (Radeon 3000) but the O/S default driver seems to work as well.  Neither of them properly support hardware mode.  It runs out of space and goes nuts.  Software rendering is fine.

People who create HD mods need to shake their heads.  Not everyone can run fancy graphics.  Considering the scale of the game it is rather a matter of hubris than necessity.

Well, I can't find the Application Control on my Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. Is Hardware mode not compatible with Intel HD cards? My previous laptop also had an Intel graphics card and I never had any of those problems. Any help?

What you are looking for is 3D options like anti-aliasing.  All such items should be marked "application selected" or equivalent wording.

Yeah, there's "Application Optimal Mode". I selected it but to no avail. And there's also no anti-aliasing setting in Intel HD 3000.

Seems no one reading this has an answer for you.  Try the Microsoft graphics forums.

I have similar problem. It also shows up when you plop something and smoke goes up. Smoke is also glitched. It started occurring after I installed latest NAM (31.1) and after I switched to Windows 7 64bit (before that I was on Windows 7 32 bit). Maybe it has to do with one of these two things, or maybe the graphic card is dying. Anyway, I didn't find solution and I'm playing the game ignoring the issue.

    Cheers,

    Hello again,

Try to update your graphic card driver if you are on Windows 7 64 bit. It worked for me.

    Cheers,
