    Page 19 Update

Here is an updated transit pic of Santa Terra Metro. I am using TheJerseyDevil73's transportation view mod which i really like because of the color changes and that it shows streets now. Oh and just if you cant tell, the light purple lines are monorail and the black lines are light rail.

Enjoy, another update should come soon! Thanks for all the comments!

Whoa! Great job so far Chicago 29.gif

One of the only things that I would improve upon is the intersection - well the area- near the Granton Bridge, there are way too many interchages, and I would maybe make the avenue diagonal... and the houses a little further - just a little changing in that area, because it seems to be the only unrealistic part in your last update 3.gif

Keep up the good work; I like the crazy sprawl 10.gif

Thank you both for the compliments1.gif

nooneatall: really? actually that was one of my favorite pics of my update5.gif...but i guess you can say there are a lot of interchanges there...more than normal, its just that i wanted to have some homes along the shore1.gif. Oh, and i originally wanted to make that avenue a diagonal, but it doesnt work, the bridge and interchange are too close too each other34.gif

Hmm... I hope that you don't mind me posting again; except this could possibly help. Why not try to make a little piece of land sticking out into the river, moreso than it is now; then you would have more room to work with. Like jeronij did here .

It would probably work well with you as well, as long if you have enough money and patience to reroute all of that - I would myself though, if it would enhance to the look I was trying to achive. That way, you could also give yourself more room for houses on the waterfront; maybe you could even build some ugly glass condos there 11.gif

nooneatall: i might try that out1.gif

thanks for the compliments everyone, right now i have a little surprise for you...well first of all, take a look at the newsapaper title..different?

    Mandursuro Tribune

Freeway 273 and Redstone Rail travel south as the city of Grimston is founded

Hopes in expanding the freeway and rail south to locate a new industrial center have been a sucess as Grimston has made its mark. This small town has hopes of expanding its industrial economy in the future, but for now, it is still focusing on balancing its economy. Grimston is located on its own landmass (for now) far to the south of Santa Terra County.

    City of Grimston
    Population: 570

    Grimston1.jpg

Don't worry, this has nothing to do with the expansion of Santa Terra. Updates on Santa Terra will of course still continue1.gif

Looks great ChicAgo! As a request, could we please see a picture of your downtown area again? The last pictures of it are several pages back, and I would like to see a zoomed out pic of the downtown area.

Mayortim: I suppose I could show some downtown views, but it would have to be a couple of updates later

Dragonanime: Thanks, those houses are actually a mod: Urban Housing Mod made by rob_2616, he changed the yards of the R$$ homes1.gif

guess what i just found out? i have my Granton Bridge and Granton Avenue and there is a city named Granton in the Digby journal! what a weird coincidence47.gif (really i had no idea)

i was looking back at the old Santa Terra Updates to see what it used to look like, and i have a question, can you build a road over, or under the railroad near unity station to make it so that you don't have to go in front of unity to get to the other side of downtown.

that actually isnt a bad idea...since in real life that could cause some hazard problems. I have some rail underpasses that i can use for that1.gif

When I see a good journal that's already as old and long as yours, I find it hard to make a first comment -- seems like everything has been said already.

Anyway... I like those mid-density loft blocks in St. Lucian on the last page (by Dusktrooper, I hear?).  The road layout on top looks very good. I'm using TJD's traffic view too, I think it's the best. And that small region pic inside the city view is a good idea. And yeah, as many said before, great journal.

wow its been along time since ive seen this CJ its getting better and more organized....

and i see you finally built a bridge on the river...but i still think you could use some more instead of one bridge maybe 3 on the west side and 2 on the east side... imo it will help people travel freely between the suburbs and downtown... but i think ive already said that hehe

but anyway as i said before its getting better and it looks beautiful! youll have to im me with some of those lots!

Holy cow, that's good. Everything's good! This is the best CJ ever. Two things though. Firstly, you haven't updated in a while. Secondly, that really huge city on the other side of the river with the massive downtown. When are you going to show us that? Otherwise perfect, 100/10!

To boldly build where no one has built before.

More's the pity. I was actually hoping that he had updated his city when I saw this thread on the second page of the CJ section. 15.gif Has there been any indications of when he will return??

Whenever he is on AIM, I talk to him sometimes. He hasn't been online much either. The last time I talked to him he was very busy. But I could hardly wait for an update myself. '

    EDIT

10goliath - I'm pretty sure your talking about Altundro City. He showed that city in his delayed city journal right before he started this one. Just type Mandursuro into the search, and you can see it under Chicago333 Mandursuro delayed.
