Grey and White stars?

    it looks like I got a boost from i grey 1 white to 1 grey 2 white.

    what do they mean.

    "New York may be the best city in America, but Philadelphia is the best city in the world."

    It's basically a ranking system based on your post count. As your post count reaches a certain threshold, the number and types of stars will change. Eventually, as I'm sure you've seen, special shields will replace the plain stars. They don't really have any great meaning, but are quite a nice addition to the user profiles.
